You can make a useful moving label with an ordinary printer and plain paper. Our label maker produces a simple layout from your packing list. There are no premium design elements to unlock and no account to create.

Print a small test first

Add a few boxes to the tool and select “Preview / print labels”. Check the on-screen layout, then choose “Print / Save as PDF” to request your browser’s print window. If an embedded browser does not open one, use your regular browser. Choose your printer and paper size, then check the preview for clipping or unexpected blank pages. Browser and printer settings differ, so do not assume the first settings are right for your device.

Save a PDF if you are not near a printer

If your browser or operating system provides a PDF destination, choose it instead of a physical printer. Save the file somewhere you will find later. The PDF is a snapshot: if you change the packing list afterwards, generate a fresh one so your labels match your current boxes.

Print room signs separately

Choose “Preview room signs” to review a sign for each distinct room name in the list. Keep those signs with your moving-day essentials. “Bedroom”, “bedroom”, and “Bedroom 1” can create separate signs because the names are taken from your entries; use a consistent naming scheme when adding boxes.

Keep text readable without color

Room names and box numbers remain on the labels when you print in black and white. If a colored border is missing, the label still tells you where the box belongs. Avoid scaling the layout so small that a helper has to pick up each box to read it.

Use the right paper for your setup

These layouts are designed for cutting from plain paper or a full sheet, not for a particular pre-cut label product. Before using adhesive paper, check your printer documentation and the paper manufacturer’s instructions. Make a small test, check that the label is secure, and keep packing details short enough to remain readable.
