Local storage
The box planner stores room names, box descriptions, numbers, and flags in your browser’s local storage. The checklist stores your chosen moving date and completed tasks there too. Saved field notes are stored as guide identifiers in this browser too. They do not sync between devices. Search and stage filters run locally; their choices may appear in the page URL. The current tools do not send your plans or saved-guide list to a server. Anyone who can access the same browser profile may be able to view it.
Private-browsing modes, clearing site data, or browser storage restrictions can remove or prevent saved data. Use the JSON backup for your box list and print your checklist if you need a copy. Clearing this site’s storage through your browser settings removes its saved plans.
Files you choose
Backup files are read locally when you select them. Downloads contain the details you entered. You decide where to save or share them. CSV inventory files are designed for spreadsheets; JSON backups are designed for restoring in the label maker.
Site requests and email
The hosting provider may process standard request information, such as IP address and browser information, to deliver the website. Fonts are hosted on this website. Advertising tags are not loaded. Optional Google Analytics is described below. If you email us, the contents are processed by the email providers involved. Send only what is needed to explain your request.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”. It measures page visits and actions such as creating a label, updating checklist progress, generating a PDF and requesting a download. Google processes technical information such as browser/device details and request information to provide these measurements. Analytics cookies may remain for up to 180 days. Your consent preference is stored locally for 180 days.
We do not include room names, box contents, moving dates, backup files or free-text searches in analytics events. Page URLs sent by our tracking omit query strings and fragments. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our tag configuration. The tools work when you choose “Essential only”.
Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent removes this site’s analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded tag; it does not remove data already received by Google or delete your saved packing plans. See Google’s privacy policy.
Using the materials
You may use and print the generated labels and checklists for your own household or to help someone with their move. Do not resell the website’s templates as your own. These tools are planning aids, not an insurance inventory, legal advice, or a substitute for a mover’s instructions.
